Trinity Housing Development is pleased to announce that in August, we received a 9% LIHTC award from the NC Housing Finance Agency for The Landing at Beaver Creek, a 72-unit new construction apartment home community to be developed in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Trinity is thrilled that The Landing at Beaver Creek will represent our first LIHTC development in North Carolina! Fayetteville, NC is 65 miles south of Raleigh, NC, which is the Capital of North Carolina. Fayetteville is home to Fort Bragg, which is a military installation of the United States Army. Fort Bragg is one of the largest military installations in the world with 57,000 military personnel. Fayetteville has a population of 209,468 people and is also the County seat of Cumberland County. Fayetteville is home to three colleges and universities including Fayetteville State University, Methodist University and Fayetteville Technical Community College. The community will consist of one, two, and three-bedroom units and will feature a clubhouse building with a multi-purpose room and a kitchenette area for resident meetings and activities, along with a computer lab for residents. A laundry area and covered mailbox facilities will also be located at the clubhouse building. Outdoor amenities will include a covered patio with seating, a covered picnic pavilion and a grill area, a playground and a tot lot. Lots of outdoor amenities for the residents to enjoy! The design includes three (3) buildings, which are three-story, garden-style apartments. The unit mix is proposed as (12) one-bedroom units, (36) two-bedroom units, and (24) three-bedroom units. The unit sizes will be 691 sq ft for a one-bedroom, 1,019 sq ft for a two-bedroom and 1,112 sq ft for a three-bedroom. Each unit will feature a walk-in closet in the master bedroom, washer and dryer hook-ups, durable flooring throughout, and the kitchens will have ample cabinet and counter space along with Energy Star appliances. First floor units will have a patio off the living room area and the second and third floor units will feature a balcony. The development will provide much needed high-quality, affordable housing in Fayetteville as it continues to see growth. The site is within 1 mile of many services and amenities as well as is close to many employment opportunities. Trinity plans to begin construction in 2021 and work with a North Carolina GC, to construct the development along with our entire North Carolina based development team.
