Trinity Housing Development Opens Doors in Bellevue, Nebraska

On June 7, 2023, Trinity Housing Development and Seldin Company held a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house for their first development in Nebraska, Deer Creek Village Apartments located at 2361 Betty Court in Bellevue Nebraska. Attendees for this celebration included executives from Trinity Housing Development, Seldin Company, Bellevue Chamber of Commerce, Sarpy County Chamber of Commerce, the Mayor of Bellevue Nebraska, Nebraska Department of Economic Development, Advantage Capital, Bellevue Housing Authority, Kelcon Construction, Legacy Bank, Nebraska Investment Finance Authority (NIFA) and current residents of the development.

A special thanks to Nebraska Investment Finance Authority as without their program, affordable housing would not be where it is today.

Trinity Housing Development developed Deer Creek Village Apartments in 2021 as an answer to the need for additional and affordable housing in the Bellevue area after flooding in the Spring of 2019 caused the loss of nearly 400 homes in the area. The property is comprised of 48 units that feature modern kitchens with energy-efficient appliances, in-unit laundry, large closets, and on-site maintenance. A community building serves as a gathering place and includes a lounge area and oversized kitchen along with a fitness center and computer stations. Outdoor amenities include a beautiful courtyard, playground and a BBQ/picnic area.

“It’s great to see new affordable housing being built in this thriving community. It’s a positive step forward after the recent floods”, said Zac Guerin, Vice President of Property Management at Seldin Company. “This community is also unique in that it offers three and four-bedroom floor plans making it ideal for larger households that are typically under-housed and under-served.”

Bellevue Mayor Rusty Hike expressed his excitement about this investment of new affordable housing opportunities in Bellevue and thanked all the partners that made this project a reality and for their investment in the Bellevue Community.
