Charlotte, N.C. — Trinity Housing Development, LLC and Horizon Development Properties, LLC have officially closed on financing for The Vue at Honeywood Avenue, a new affordable housing community that will bring 108 units to Charlotte’s growing housing market.
The development closed on February 25, 2026, with construction scheduled to begin March 2. Located at 615 Honeywood Avenue in Charlotte, the community is projected to deliver much-needed affordable housing by late 2027.
Co-developed by Trinity Housing Development, LLC and Horizon Development Properties, LLC, The Vue at Honeywood Avenue will feature a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartment homes. Units will serve residents earning 30%, 60%, and 80% of Area Median Income (AMI), helping address affordability needs across multiple income tiers. Upon completion, the development will receive ENERGY STAR Version 3.1 certification.
To further support long-term affordability, the property will include 27 project-based vouchers, ensuring stable housing opportunities for Charlotte families.
The project received key support from INLIVIAN throughout the development process. Financing and development partners include tax credits awarded by the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency, tax-credit equity from Raymond James, construction lending from Fifth Third Bank, HOME funds from the City of Charlotte, and permanent financing arranged by Piper Sandler through a combination of tax-exempt and taxable bonds.
Construction will be led by Wynnefield Contracting Services, Inc. as general contractor. The property will be managed by Remnant Management, Inc.
Project leaders say the development represents a meaningful step toward addressing the region’s housing shortage.
“We’re proud to bring much-needed housing to the Charlotte community,” Ryan Hamilton of Trinity Housing Development said in a statement. “The Vue at Honeywood Avenue reflects the power of partnership and our shared commitment to creating safe, welcoming homes where Charlotte families can truly thrive.”
Construction is expected to progress through 2026 and 2027, with the community anticipated to welcome residents in late 2027. Stay tuned for details regarding the groundbreaking ceremony where we will formally recognize and thank the many partners who helped bring this project to life.
