Senior housing project moving forward - Richmond News

The final plat for the property, a housing development for persons age 55 or older, is in place, and the City of Richmond is reviewing construction plans prior to issuing building permits.
Brooke Myers, a project administrator with Hamilton Builders, said a groundbreaking date is scheduled, assuming the weather holds.
“We plan to break ground around the first of July,” Myers said.
About a year later – by June 2017 – the company plans to be leasing apartments to residents, Myers said.
The Richmond City Council approved the final plat at the council’s Feb. 23 meeting.
