Oakmont Apartments Rehab

Our rehab projects in Antlers and Tishomingo wound to a close on September 1st. We started work on these south Oklahoma communities over a year ago in May 2014.
Oakmont Apartments are family residences built with a sense of community, comfort, and energy efficiency. All of these complexes were older and needed updating, and so they made good candidates for a complete renovation to fit a modern family's needs.
Our renovations tackled all the elements of the building from the ground up. Outside, we have installed new decking and architectural shingles on every roof. We also resurfaced the parking lot and drive with a new layer of asphalt.
Indoors, each unit has received all new floors (including carpet and plank flooring), cabinets, appliances, doors and trim. Inside the walls, we've also replaced the plumbing, mechanical, electrical and HVAC systems to make Oakmont Apartments as comfortable and state-of-the-art as possible. Most units also have built-in washer and dryer connections.
One of our main focuses was to construct community spaces for family use. Outside, we put in modern playground systems, a basketball court, a newly built gazebo, and brand new landscaping. Grass and trees run throughout the community for children to play in.
We appreciate that our residents want to keep their utility bills as small as possible. With that in mind, "green" is the word that fueled our renovation planning. The apartment buildings were rebuilt using energy-efficient concrete siding for improved insulation, including green energy-saving windows. We installed high efficiency water heaters and heating and cooling systems, the key to keeping utility costs low and reducing the whole community's impact on the environment.
After over a year of floor-to-ceiling renovation, we have achieved our vision of an energy-efficient, family friendly, welcoming new home for our residents.
