ties we now serve,” says Ryan Hamilton, Part-
ner. “There are many of these communities we
are located in that are so appreciative of the
housing and amenities we not only offer to the
residents we house, but also to the community
as a whole.”
“Hamilton Builders is a group that we will be
using for development, and it does have some
synergies for us,” Hamra says. “It allows us to
really leverage that and will allow us to develop
quality projects and know exactly what we are
building. We can control the projects a little
bit differently and make sure the quality of the
materials is what we want them to be for those
projects.”
Three efforts currently in construction prog-
ress—two family housing communities in Mis-
souri and one senior living property in Colo-
rado—exemplify Four Corners Development’s
commitment to quality, amenities and active
living.
HELPING MISSOURI FAMILIES
When it comes to looking at prospective prop-
erties, location is the number one factor for
Hamra and his partners.
“The thing that’s really important is to put a
community in an area that has great access and
convenience to retail, medical and educational
facilities,” he says. “If there is anything that al-
lows a project to be in an area where people
can enjoy active living, that’s what we typically
look for,” Hamra says. “Based off of our many
years of previous experience and current re-
sume, most communities we meet with have
welcomed us with open arms.”
The Four Corners Development partners saw
this potential when selecting the property for
Fox River Estates, a community of 48 affordable
family units in Willard, Missouri, that opened in
July. Amenities in the community include a 34-
mile bike and walking trail, a community pool
and park, a playground, a gym, a computer
room and a community kitchen meant to en-
courage healthy eating.
“That project was important to us because it
encourages an active lifestyle due to the trails
that surround it and some of the amenities it
will have,” Hamra says. “This was consistent
with how we typically look for areas in town
where we can place those types of properties.
It met all the criteria we were looking for.”
These qualities were also present in Aldrich
Creek, a 44-unit affordable family housing
community in Bolivar, Missouri, which broke
ground in July. The completion date is sched-
uled for July 2016, and Hamra says the project
is going well.
